I will be presenting Camtasia and JING, both from www.techsmith.com.
I will be attaching the simple slide show when I get back to my room and get my USB drive around my neck (I have no personal memory left in my head so I now need to carry it on a lanyard around my neck), but, like Bingo, you must be present to win!
Great presentation Steve! I especially liked learning about JING and am thrilled that it's a cross-platform program. For those of us Apple users that can't yet use Camtasia... I've found that iShowU HD Pro, combined with iMovie makes for a great combination. More info about iShowU can be found at:
Thanks Tom... hope the jerky was pleasing... feel free to email me with any useful MAC tips so I can use them in future presentations... since I am mac-challenged.
Being that I use Powerpoint and SMARTBoard (a similar program), I use two principles... few words and large font! What shows up on the screen should be just enough to give them an idea what you are talking about, but if you just repeat what is on each slide, there is really no reason for anyone to pay attention. I like to incorporate ClipArt as well... makes things more interesting! Sometimes I even place an unrelated picture in the slide, just to keep them guessing.
I've attached my PowerPoint from my "Is There an End to Death by PowerPoint." I've also attached a link to the YouTube video recommended during the presentation. How Not to do a PowerPoint Presentation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cagxPlVqrtM
Anyone interested in creating video learning modules, whether the 2 minute JING capture of the 20 minute Camtasia production, please feel free to email me for suggestions/tips/tricks.
Those who might want an on-campus visit, I do schedule away games... went to 2 schools and 1 business just last year to perform training... I can be BOUGHT!
LOL
I have attached the PowerPoint slides from my presentation entitled "What Does a Google Search Really Cost." Thanks to everyone for a great conference!
